In 1970, Ray and June Gaddis established Pacific Cheese Company, the West Coast’s original broad line cheese supplier. As industry pioneers, they were instrumental in the expansion of the California cheese industry and laid the groundwork for the company’s growth into a leading manufacturer and wholesale supplier of premium quality cheese.

The site we created captured the recently branded visual tone and voice of the company.  The homepage is beautiful and light, unique and very engaging. The pages are photo rich throughout.   The site offers a beautiful and simple transition from the homepage to the lower level pages, looking smart and clean.  There is a playfulness with the company’s logo and the tag that contains it when it overlaps images or solid colors.   A highlight for the visitor is the Community Section – where they can read up on everything cheese, post up recipes and meet featured cheesemakers.

Veritas Investments is a real estate investment manager that specializes in owning and operating mixed-use multifamily and retail properties in San Francisco. It has grown to be one of the largest owners and operators of multifamily mixed-use properties in the SF Bay Area.

Equipped with a deep understanding of the company’s clients, we worked to build a brand identity and a new impactful website.  We decided to use a great sweeping photographic hero image of the San Francisco skyline and pair it with a simple concise headline.  The serif typeface for the headline make the company feel more traditional, yet also timeless.  The minimalistic approach creates a strong sense of trust and brand establishment.  The navigation is intuitive and easy to use.  Our contributions included positioning, messaging and copywriting.

Payroll Resource Group (SSAE 16 Certified), founded in 1996, is widely recognized and awarded for its growth, intuitive technology and commitment to service excellence.

In light of its competitive benefits marketplace, PRG aspired to extend its reach to new customers and enhance its visibility.  Vībē Digital worked with PRG to create a coherent and impactful brand communication system to help them stand out from its competition.  Our solution included a complete rebranding effort of the company.  For the website, our contributions included art direction & visual design, front-end development, creating a strong style for a unique brand experience, introducing new innovative infographics to convey the company’s offerings, and implement a user-friendly content management system.  We utilized new photography to make the site engaging and more like a consumer site.  A design challenge was to not overwhelm the user, but still communicate the breath of PRG services.  We found a way to animate the images without enlisting movement.  Vī-bē Digital ensured consistent delivery throughout the process, from concept to execution, as a long-term partner dedicated to elevating the brand to the next level.

Barg Coffin is truly one-of-a-kind: a uniquely qualified group of top environmental lawyers practicing within a strategically leveraged, small firm business model.  They offer depth and breadth of expertise in federal and California environmental laws.

The Barg Coffin website was quite dated and uninspiring, unreflective of the spirit of this fast-paced and progressive San Francisco Bay Area boutique law firm.  The website’s technology was outdated and hard to use. In our branding for website survey research, the Partners were looking for a modern and clean design that communicated the firm’s expertise, depth of bench, and accolades.  The new site was developed by Vi-be and twist Design’s strategy/design team.  Barg Coffin’s tagline: “where the law + environment intersect” was the central theme of the website’s communications.  We were asked to give that messaging a brand expression in its voice and refined design.  What we produced was a modern look, professional, prestigious and intuitive.  The new elements on the home page included strategic focused areas mixed with firm news & accolades and recent publications.

Design Electric is a San Francisco Bay Area full-service electrical contractor and energy specialist.  Since its founding in 1976, DEI has developed a strong reputation for customer satisfaction and become a team player with local Bay Area construction firms.

We worked in partnership to create a great visual platform that modernized the company’s brand and leverage it to stand out in the market. We implemented an expansive hero image that displays recent featured projects.  Below the hero is a clean band that captures the high-level messaging and offers intuitive paths to the interior pages.  Upon rolling down the page, we animated a light bulb to create a unique, fun element to the overall design.  Our team spent many hours in research sessions with the Principals – with the goal of capturing the essential DNA of the company’s brand.

Industry: Construction

Since 1950, Nibbi Construction has been building technically complex, iconic structures in the San Francisco Bay Area.  The company has delivered on the region’s most challenging, logistically difficult and sustainable projects.

Vi-be transformed the previous website from a desktop version to a fully responsive site.  The job included a redesign of the Homepage, News and Events sections, adding a Green page, redesigning Project Detail pages with slide shows, adding new photos and callouts.  For mobile, we created a new landing page for filtering to make it easier for users to navigate its design interface.   The site required adding new media queries, refactoring legacy code, adding and updating CMS management features for ease of use, updating content editing, and optimizing client and server side performance optimization.

BBI Construction is a mid-sized General Contractor serving the Greater San Francisco Bay Area with quality construction since 1974. They specialize in the renovations & new construction of schools, multifamily housing, commercial, biotech/pharma & institutional facilities. Since 2013, BBI and Vī-bē Digital have collaborated on a series of design projects. The defining experience of each engagement has always relied on the art of storytelling. For BBI, its about building solutions with teamwork, quality and integrity.

The company website is central to establishing BBI’s reputable brand and enhancing their visibility to prospective customers. We began our work on the site as we begin every engagement: conducting stakeholder interviews, content audits, and secondary research to determine BBI’s unique sales proposition. We established a key set of messages that connect directly with its key audiences. The clean, responsive design showcases BBI’s work and personality through custom photography. The site was built as a modular design system, so that new projects and content can be easily added by the BBI team through the WordPress CMS.

Sapphire Ventures is focused on helping today’s most innovative technology companies become global category-defining leaders. Leveraging nearly two decades of experience and an extensive global enterprise network, the firm  invests capital, resources and expertise to enable its portfolio companies to scale rapidly.

Vī-bē Digital partnered with Sapphire Ventures on their inaugural CEO Summit in Palo Alto, CA.  It was the first time that the executives from its global portfolio were gathering together in one place.  The purpose of the summit was designed to facilitate the exchange of insights and best practices and bridge valuable new connections.  Vī-bē created an impactful full-color brochure that utilized a new color palette, impactful email communications and on-site conference signage.  The brochure implemented vibrant colors, interesting geometric shapes, playful iconography and mapping to support the hierarchy of information.  The design created a bright and immmediate presentation that stood out and attracted attention.

Dalberg is a collection of impact-driven businesses seeking to champion inclusive and sustainable growth around the world. GDI pushes beyond traditional consulting and bureaucratic incubation. They take a hands-on approach and partner with innovators to address urgent global problems.

The “Small Merchants, Big Opportunity” report addresses the need to expand digital payments for micro and small merchants – the  technology is a stepping stone to broader financial inclusion.  There was a wealth of copy and information to be communicated, and we accomplished this by establishing a hierarchy of text, including rich photography, charts and icon design.  The report offered an compelling mix of hard facts and personal stories.

Dalberg is a collection of impact-driven businesses seeking to champion inclusive and sustainable growth around the world. GDI pushes beyond traditional consulting and bureaucratic incubation. They take a hands-on approach and partner with innovators to address urgent global problems.

The client asked us to create a small icon rich booklet from statistics in the recently published “Small Merchants, Big Opportunity” report.  We achieved the goal in a fun, engaging, and digestible way.  The bright colors set off clear language and images that a lay person would easily grasp.

Industry: Semiconductors

Resonant is creating innovative filter designs for RF front-ends for the mobile device industry. With the explosion in the number of frequency bands, the filter has become the fastest-growing component in the RF front-end.

Vī-bē Digital has partnered with Resonant on a series of White Papers.  The first is “RF Innovation and the Transition to 5G Wireless Technology”.  The second is “Radically Reducing the Cost and Size of Cellphone RF Filters to Fuel the Mobile Revolution”.  Working closely with the VP of Marketing, Vī-bē created logical technical information hierarchies and adhered to the company’s new brand styles. The report effectively balances a wealth of  copy in a comfortable amount of white space. Our multiple design concept options experimented with engaging typographic design elements and attractive cover montages.
